Ratings for The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection

Rating Description
9.5
Presentation Improved performance compared to the originals. Added Trophy and 3D support. Additional gameplay features included with Ico. Sublime storytelling. No way to jump between games, though.
8.5
Graphics You can tell Ico and Shadow of the Colossus hail from the PlayStation 2 era, but they've grown into their new HD look brilliantly. More importantly, the artistic direction gnaws at the heart.
9
Sound Delicate use of music and effects. Poignant. The themes of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus still give me chills.
8.5
Gameplay Ico frustrates, thanks to problematic companion AI and troublesome platforming. Shadow of the Colossus, however, does not disappoint.
8.5
Lasting Appeal Ico's campaign only requires a few hours of your time. Shadow of the Colossus takes much longer, though both warrant multiple playthroughs.
